चाणक्य जिन्हे कौटिल्य/ विष्णुगुप्त के नाम से भी जाना जाता है | इनका कार्यकाल 375–283 ईसा पूर्व रहा | वह एक भारतीय polymath थे मालयमाइथ का मतलब है , जो व्यक्ति जिसने शिक्षा के कई अलग - अलग छेत्रो में ज्ञान प्राप्त किया हो | चाणक्य एक शिक्षक, लेखक, रणनीतिकार, दार्शनिक, अर्थशास्त्री, न्यायविद और शाही सलाहकार के रूप में सक्रिय थे। चाणक्य को ऐतिहासिक रूप से कौटिल्य और विष्णुगुप्त कहा जाता है | इन्होने भारतीय राजनितिक शाश्त्र में बहुत से योगदान दिए है | चाणक्य को चन्द्रगुप्त मौर्या के गुरु मन जाता है , इन्होने मुआर्य साम्रज्य की स्थापना में चंद्रगुप्त की सुरुवात से ही बहुत सहायता प्रदान किया | चणक्या ने चन्द्रगुप्त मौर्या और उनके बेटे बिन्दुसार के मुख्या राजनैतिक ,सलाहकार के रूप में काम किया उसके बाद उनकी मृत्यु हो गयी |  साहित्यिक कार्य  चाणक्य द्वारा लिखी गयी २ ग्रंथो के बारे पता चलता है | जिसमे  से पहली किताब है  चाणक्यनिति  और दूसरी है अर्थशास्त्र | चाणक्यनीति को   चाणक्य  निति शास्त्र के नाम से भी  जानते है | अर्थशास्त्र की खोज 1905  ...
